We are striking for a living wage and union recognition!

I pledge to go on strike on April 17th, 18th and 19th; and I will not engage in instructional activity during those days, including:

- Teaching courses;

- Attending courses to which I am assigned as an SAA;

- Preparing for courses;

- Grading;

- Proctoring exams;

- Responding to emails concerning instructional activities;

- Meeting with students;

I understand that it is very likely that the IU administration will threaten to fire me, threaten to withhold pay from striking graduate employees, and threaten my future employment with IU. It is possible that faculty will repeat rumors that grad employees will be fired for striking. I still pledge to strike on April 17th, 18th and 19th.

I understand that IGWC will only call for a final strike vote to initiate the strike if at least 500 Assistant Instructors sign this strike pledge. (RAs, Fellows, and other graduate workers with non-instructional appointments should also sign the pledge and commit to refuse struck work if they are asked by faculty members or administrators to do so).
